Sorry for last week’s delay, folks. It was my mistake – left all my equipment at home when I went to see family for Easter. But here we go with the page I meant to post then. Had I had my things with me I could have done this while on the road, but unfortunately, that’s not how it went down.
We’re getting there, though – the chapter is almost over! This will mark… let’s see. Wow. We’ve already passed the 200-page mark! By the end of the chapter we’ll be at 208 pages! Good LORD! What a long, strange trip it’s been, as the feller says.
Anyway, I’ll stop my yakkin’ and let it all just go on. All the best, folks!
So everything Mike did… Was it all to prove a point? To make Colonel Haulley understand? Geez, that’s some crazy methods, Mike.
Perhaps not as deliberately as that, though.
I wonder what happens next.
That’s like going through Judgement at the end of your life, but then being forced to walk the earth some more, in full knowledge of that judgement…
A satirical humorist in Sweden, Tage Danielsson, had in one of his writings described a world in which the gods did punish some politicians with eternal life.
That way they would live to see the full consequences of decisions the probably did not expect to have to deal with. >:-)
That would be a worthy punishment. Politicians are the root of most problems in the world right now, if you ask me. They ought to be doing something productive with themselves – those who can’t do or teach try to get elected. But that’s just one man’s opinion.
“There’s no one as blind as those that don’t want to see”
Can’t deny it any more, you can’t solve the problems by closing your eyes.
@Mr. Average:
Guess I gotta lay down the tin foil hat for a bit then hehe. I just thought it was pecular how the whole ring conceal thing began right with the arc since Toravich pointed it out but in retrospect, is just that you probably had more things to focus on with the story coming to the end of the chapter.
@Ulrich: Yeah I see your point I just thought the ring not appearing on the arc or chapter until the end was an intentional feature. (I know you probably got it a while ago by now but just felt like replying.)
P.S. srry for belated reply, and for the text wall
Don’t lay the metal hat too far away – things can still get pretty weird, here!
