We’re getting very near the end of the chapter now. Oh, yes. And even I have to admit that this is just a little bit creepy, this part here. Ah, well, next week will be the last page of Chapter 4.
I have to confess that I’m feeling a little burnt out, myself. Not on the comic, just in general. I’ve been working awfully hard the past few months, with a great deal more responsibility at work, and with it, a lot more pressure. I can say I’m actually quite looking forward to the holiday coming up: it’s Thanksgiving Day here in the United States. It is also, coincidentally, brutally cold and windy here in New England. But, well, at any rate, I’ll have a few days off at the end of the week, is all, so I’ll go to visit my mother and brother and sister, and hopefully have the chance to link up with some friends I don’t get to see too much of these days.
For right now, though, I’m off to bed. I may have a three-day week, but there’s a lot to tie up before the holiday, so I’m expecting some long hours. You wouldn’t believe the amount of paperwork that’s required to keep a building project going! But to everyone in the U.S. (and anywhere else where you’re celebrating the holiday), a very happy Thanksgiving to all of you.
Be well, everyone!
Welcome to the twilight zone, Colonel.
😀
Oh my god, its Wesker!!! RUN!!!
No, no, not Resident Evil. I might have given you HalfLife, but…
G-G-G-G man is in da house!
Ah…err.. >_>
is Mike-one-echo?
…maybe. 😉
Not… NOT THE SUNGLASSES. At least they aren’t black, or I would have made so many Agent Mike jokes.
I just noticed the sunglasses on Mike’s ‘avatar’. Very cool detail.
Actually I hate to say it, but they weren’t meant to be sunglasses, just catching the reflection. Maybe I’ll run with it, though – it’s immaterial to the plot, really.
To think I almost said “Placeman”…
Placeman? Hmm… good guess, I have to admit. Have to see…
23 November, 2012, 5:37 pm: Sorry for the late reply but felt it needed saying: It only takes 3 neutron bombs to wipe the Continental US off the map.
I only need one nuke to pick a lock
Also untrue though it would devestate it to an extreme amount it would not wipe it out
Yes, although a relatively small number of stratospheric bursts could seriously disrupt the electronics and communications systems in a country for a good while, several hours to several days. I think it was the French who came up with the “ripple fire” strategy to jam Soviet communications and halt their progress in a conventional attack. Neutron weapons are quite awful, though – don’t want to diminish that. They were meant to minimize damage to friendly countries while halting an enemy conventional attack, but they still have major blast and heat effects like any nuclear weapon, and are only made more awful by blasting everything with heavy neutron radiation as well.
what about ion cannon from comand and conquer , that weapon seem to be directing hit anything the general demanded and leave no collateral damages .
but it generated ion storm and spreading dust of tiberium around .
I wonder if MIKE’s human avatar is one he created using his AI imagination OR the shape of a person from Haulley’s past…
The first option would add further to the theory of MIKE becoming truly fully self-aware and the second option would indicate MIKE can exercise some sort of telepathy or mind-reading or suggestive manipulation.
I don’t know which option would be more wonderful.
Or frightening.
😉 No comment. Won’t spoil it for you!
Dangit, Mike! Stop breaking the laws of physics! Only eldritch abominations and Pinkie Pie are allowed to do that!
Next you know, he’ll be singing songs, telling the future, and breaking the fourth wall.
Mike: Twitcha Twitch, Twitcha Twitch!!!
😀
I wont break the fourth wall, I promise!
He’s so polite! How can Haulley be mad at him?
Haully is a marine colonel he is used to poeple talking to him like that
They better, if they know what’s good for them!
Darn, with that posture and that hair…mirrored would have so rocked.
😀
