What Mr. Average Is Working On, Part 3
May14
So I’m not dead, folks, just positively buried in work, responsibilities, and the trappings of a profoundly disorderly apartment. This is the life I chose.
The planned hiatus is drawing to a close here, though, and I’m planning for the return of 6-Commando, as the fella says, Real Soon Now. Just wanted you guys to know that, in spite of the difficulties I’ve been facing lately (about which I am afraid I have to be somewhat circumspect in order to protect the innocent) I am still am not forgetting the comic and am getting ready for the next phase.
All the best, folks! Pray for Mojo.
Huh, maybe it’s because of black-and-white stylistics, and the perspective that makes smaller craft look like shards (unless those are shards), but the station looks like a derelict – does it have anything to do with those two, uhhhh… carriers (? well, battleships for sure) in the background?
Ehhh, too much X. 🙂
Heh – it’s a rare drawing where I can cram in an homage to homeworld, Star Wars, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and South Park all in one image!
South Park…oh, I recognize it. That weird ship is the same shape as the Evangelical Spaceship from one of the weirder episodes.
Well I was thinking of the Braniff International shuttle but still. 😀
Stunning visual.
Thanks man! This is a good story – one of the better projects I’ve ever had a chance to work on.
Looks cool! I remember drawing allot of space stations like this in the 90’s, it’s a classic sci-fi design style.
Also, is it too late to suggests a cameo from the cast of Greasy Space Monkeys? I didn’t think of it until I saw a space station falling apart lol
Hah! I’m afraid it is for this story, but if I play my cards right maybe I’ll have more time for comics in the future!
That’s no moon…IT’S A SPACE STATION!!! 😉
