I had a whole thing in my head to write about this week, but by the time I got to posting this, I had forgotten all of it. I’m working really hard these days – not a whole LOT, but when I’m in the studio, I’m doing an awful lot, and it seems like I’m doing it all at once. It’s very intense, sometimes tedious, and always very complicated work to administer the construction of a building. Or two. Or five. None of it is simple.
So, yeah, I’m getting a little burnt out, I’ll admit. I’m still plugging away at the comic, though, and I’m glad to say that, unlike the first three chapters, Chapter 4, which is now about 2/3 complete (I think), is one I would feel confident sending to print right off the website. Well, fine, the next to last panel needs a tweak. It looked better in the inks. But still, no major “this whole page needs to be redrawn” situations.
God. Print. Now there’s something I haven’t thought about for a while. Maybe I’d better not go there at this time of night. Suffice it to say, another week’s gone by, and another page is drawn. So, I call that a net gain.
Have a good one folks. See you next week!
Todays episode was inspired by 6-Commando fans eagerly waiting in front of their PCs for next Mondays update.
Hahahahahah! Oh, man, some days I wish I COULD do this full time. The world should make room for amateur cartoonists.
Ah, well… (:’

Print? Print?! PRINT!!
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY
Okay, you got me, I’m a really big fan of this comic.
I’d like a printed copy pwetty pweese.
I’d like to MAKE a printed copy, too. I made a substantial but abortive attempt at that last summer. There was just too much to do all at once. But slowly and surely I’m working towards it. There will be print, but not on any kind of predictable schedule. But it will happen.

For now, Why not make a 6-Commando coloring book and sell pdf, files of the print quality lineart for each page? Or maybe sell a print quality PDF of each chapter? Those would start a light income stream and help defray some costs.
You know that might be a fun summer project for everyone – a 6-Commando paint-by-numbers or something. Hmm…

An addendum, or even of pages/panals that receive numerous praises.
From those of us whose schedules have become too hectic between work, home, and all the rest to continue ‘regular’ updates: Keep pluggin’; you’re doing something right as far as we can tell.
Well, man, it ain’t easy. I understand now why so many web comics fail in their first year – just maintaining the level of energy input necessary to do it day are day is a daunting task in itself. I’m at a point now where I plan in days off and rest time during the week – normally my workday is about twelve hours long, when you include my commute (and if you don’t count that, well, you’ve never used New York Regional Rail). It ain’t easy to do, man, no question. And sometimes it just overtakes you.

I’m really surprised solitare isn’t running on at least one of the systems at his disposal. Its a boring game, but it’s a hundred times better than what he is doing now. It isn’t like he was actively watching those screens. He probably noticed the light level change more than anything else.
We’re back online! – Unleash the YouPorn…
You’ll do fine in the Post-atomic Wasteland, Ulrich. You’ll do JUUUUUUUUUST fine… 😉

What! No cute funny kittens?!! Noooo! 😉 :-))

Mr. Average should do a 6-Commando version of it as a vote-incentive.
If there are any kittens, Mike will find them. Mike has a soft spot for kittens.

And that’s why he enlisted the three killbots – they have the kitten petting hands MIKE doesn’t have.
This reminds me of me waiting all night for it to be Dire O’clock at 6 in the morning. Cant sleep without watchin.
I’m not sure what Dire O’clock is, but I’ve had many a sleepless night in my time. I’m a clinical insomniac. It’s mild these days, but it was very serious about fourteen years ago, when i was in college. I had times when I’d go for days without sleeping. So sitting around being bored to tears, staring at broken things… Yeah, I know it.

Can’t identify the flag…
Singapore.

Thank you!
I noticed that the insignia on the beret is blank, or rather, seems to have a blue patch covering it.
So at least one of them is from the city-nation of Singapore. Robots don’t tire or get bored. Still humans must be in the loop. Like Bolos, I mean Tumblers, should have access for at least on approved human to ride along.
I hope sometime to see a little bit more elaborate back history of this set of A-lines. (There are always more than just one alternate.) Maybe even having “historians” commenting on it like they do with the false footnotes in Alternate History written by historians. What they call “counter factuals.”
