And events are set in motion.
Sorry this took me an extra day – I’ve been slowly recovering from several consecutive weeks of overwork. At the moment, I’m still a little too scattered to say anything of great importance except that I hope you’re all well, and that I’m still here, in spite of it all!
All the best, folks!
Seems like unlike in the real world and the MAD ensured total holocaust of mankind the participants in the 6-Commando universe limited their nuclear strikes against enemy targets.
Otherwise the CONASUR 1st fleet wouldn’t be there, right?
Or maybe the fleet was on maneuvers and no enemy units were close enough to attack. 🙂
Noting that it seems to be a surface naval vessel of unknown type (based on the perceived size of the bridge, guessing destroyer size or bigger) Possibly a cruiser-equivalent. Guessing not a carrier – the windows on them are specially angled for watching the flight deck as well as further afield.
I also infer, oddly enough, that this ship is NOT at a high state of alert at this point. If this were the case, the crew would be in full protective gear rather than their natty whites, and the senior officers would be in CIC (command centre down in the guts of the ship) rather than standing on the vulnerable bridge.
Just guessing, mind you. 😉
Pretty good guesses, I had assumed the same thing.
You know it’s important when the envelope color matches your epaulets.
