Well, a bit late, but still plugging.
So, with all the foggy and here-and-there talk lately, I do have some news: I have a new job. It was incredibly tough to make the decision to change work, as I was at my last job for almost a decade. I’m really grateful to them – they took good care of me for a long time, through some very tough economic and personal situations. But in the end, after a lot of reflection, I decided that the time was right to make a change, and so I did, and I’m looking forward to something new – another phase of my career.
So there it is. Yet another milestone in this long, strange journey.
And since I missed last week, here are TWO weeks’ worth of Comics of the Week from SpiderForest! Please check them out!
The Ferrin Elanor Standish just wanted to finish her paper on the wild Alien species, the Ferrin, not uncover secrets hidden from and by the galactic superpowers that control the current universe. YA to mature
Sunset Grill — Gangsters. Soldiers. Public defenders. Ordinary people struggling to survive in an extraordinary future. They all have one thing in common: they all drink beer.
Cosmic FishSoon-to-be resident-snake/fish monster Acantha has rejected the childish idea of solving the mystery as to why her unusual kind exists and why they’re deemed the enemy of the planet. That may very well change when the child-like guardian (and known monster hunter) Bells believes they can work together to find peace. But both have a long way to go as they each have to face their mistakes and learn from the past to find a hopeful future.
Black Shallows: The world is quite literally falling apart. With ever increasing amounts of land collapsing into the water, the search for answers leads to a secretive group of people who can seemingly travel through dirt and time.
Gifts of wandering ice – Sci-fi story about ancient things people find in melting icebergs and the apocalypse that, surprisingly, made humanity better.
All the best, folks!
Ah yes, now it’s monday proper.
Though I think Victor was given slightly different orders, but not like you would know about it, Colonel. Those I guess were passed under the table, instead of over it.
But shhh, not like this can be confirmed just yet, can it? 😉
Also, best of luck in your new job, Matthieu – hopefully it will bring some more stability for you. 🙂
Thanks man! A whole lot of my life got radically out of control the past few years, and a big part of it was not realizing that I am just not able to do the same thins I could do when I was in my 20s. All-nighters and 70-hour weeks are kind of a lark when you’re 25; when you’re pushing 40, they’re seriously unhealthy.
And yes, so much depends on interpretation, doesn’t it? Mike and Victor did get the same orders, but clearly took different paths in interpreting them.
Good to hear! Now we’ll finally see how this all began, but someone has to stop Victor first.
Right?
Any volunteers?
😀
“Yeah, I’ll go after you.”
