And we’re back.
This is a really busy time for me right now, fortunately. I only get nervous when there isn’t work to do. That may not be the healthiest thing, by and large, but I’m very much a puritan when it comes to my work habits: I do not like to be without things to do. For now, I’m very fortunate. But it means that sometimes my side projects get delayed, as they did last week. Forgiveness, please!
So yes, another week, another page. There’s not a whole lot to add to this one – it pretty much speaks for itself. So I’ll leave it there and just head for the ol’ bunkhouse, tonight. I’m measuring a building on the East Side tomorrow, so I need my strength.
All the best, folks!
Wow I am really intrigued in the direction that your taking with Sarah. I’m just wondering will this experience cause her to flip sides or will it allow her to become an ambassador to both factions after everyone stops blowing each other up? It’s got me at the edge of my seat. 6-Commando cant come fast enough for me lol
I really like the fact that you make this such a heavy emotional sequence, it really helps build a bond with Major Sarah.
Like Hilvon stated before they are taking good care of her, but that is medical care and I have the feeling that military medics all over the world are very professional and will fix you up the best they can. Even if you are the enemy.
The intensions of the rest of the military camp is still not clear to me and the thought they might not have all good things in mind is only strengthened by the fact that the surgeon and the officer seemed to have an argument about what to do next with her. This is a war after all. It really keeps me as a non-Russian speaking person in the dark. Thrilling!
Art wise this is again a great page. From the 5 panels in this page you have 4 of them with very difficult poses. Panel 4 in particular, with her hand tucked away under her head like that. The panel is not big enough to see, but she must be lying there in a fetal position. Great page!
Dude! Get a dictionary. `Tis worth it… and you`ll get to understand the both sides of the combatants… and maybe even learn something in Russian… ^^
Great job again, Mathieu…
Hi Omega 07,
Thanks for the suggestion, it is great to see Mathieu has such devoted readers such as yourself. I can promise you that it makes creating a comic al worth wile.
About the dictionary, I’m currently happy with following the story from Major Sarah’s point of view. Whenever she will find out what will happen next that will be soon enough for me to know as well. But maybe somewhere in the future I’ll follow up on your advice.
I’m curious as to your choice of what words to emphasize. They don’t seem like ordinary emphasis that I would use. Are words emphasized differently in Russian and the emphasis is carrying over for the doctor, or do you make some words boldfaced for another reason?
