Sorry for the delay on this one, folks. Balancing all my various responsibilities has been a real challenge lately, and I’m having a little trouble keeping up. Nevertheless, I persevere.
Not much to add, I guess. Fourteen to sixteen hour days are the order of business for the time being, I’m afraid. I do hope there won’t be too many more delays this summer, but if there are, I’ll always do my best to keep you posted. But now I rest. At dawn, I go back to work.
All the best, folks!
Really? Your cool with everybody but these two?
Well, her most recent orders were to shoot them if they tried to leave.
Looks like in addition to the FSR the Coalition is joining in. Be interesting to see how this develops in this chapter.
It’s basically total chaos.
Interesting gun, by the way. I think we might be looking at something that evolved along with body armor in this universe…
It is indeed. We’ve had this discussion a few times in the course of the comic. The gun fire jet-assisted high velocity slugs, designed to punch through powered armour at close range. Its also based on Deckard’s gun from Bladerunner.
Yes, yes and yes. It’s a Colt M1991 0.75 cal HEJA revolver with miniRPG explosive launcher under the main barrel. It is designed to defeat powered armor at up to 25 yards, though in practice it’s really only good at about 10 yards. And it is very liberally based on the Pflage-Katsumata Type D Police Special that will be carried by the Blade Runner Unit of the LAPD twenty two years in the future. In another universe. 😉
I noted somthing would the armored soldiers fire after death happens I know there’s only a slim chance they will have a death grip on the firearm but will they waste the ammo if they do Or is there somthing built in to stop that from happening?
Oh that’s right Rucker, you’re likely still in deep Borcht for, y’know threatening people with a gun, ignoring orders and endangering the lives of your fellow soldiers. Last time I checked, you were still under arrest and with all the crazy going on here I’m really not surprised at all that people would be kinda twitchy about Sarah too.
Not to mention they might be radioactive.
Just not a great thing for anyone involved. Ionizing radiation makes everything a bit touchier.
Wow the UN is fucking jumpy hope the medics remember to use morphine and not .52 revolver rounds
People tend to get a little bit on edge when neuclear fire has swept the Earth. I’m actually surprised that no one has shot themselves rather than face the horrors of living in the aftermath of Armageddon.
Another great piece of art. I feel sorry for that wounded soldier gut wounds are meant to be horrible from what I have read.
Thanks, man! And yes, it’s no fun at all from what they tell me. Add to that the fact that it’s obviously high-powered shot to go through the armor, and it’s not a great situation.
poor mexican dude in the power suit
Colombian, actually. Mexico is a Permanent Member of the UNA Security Council.
But, yeah, he’s not having a great time.
